VINTRI TECHNOLOGIES SELECTED TO RECEIVE FUNDING THROUGH GOVERNMENT OF CANADA’S BUSINESS SCALE-UP AND PRODUCTIVITY PROGRAM
Calgary-based software company will receive more than $1.3 million in interest-free repayable funding from PrairiesCan to build on its success in attracting U.S. clients and creating new roles across Canada.
CALGARY, Alberta – Vintri Technologies Inc. (Vintri) is pleased to announce it is a recipient of $1,358,260 in federal funding through the Government of Canada’s Business Scale-up and Productivity (BSP) program, delivered in Alberta by PrairiesCan.
The BSP program offers interest-free repayable funding to high-growth incorporated businesses that are scaling up and producing innovative goods, services, or technologies.
Vintri’s continued success in providing a data management solution designed to establish a Verified Single Source of Truth for energy operators throughout North America contributed to the company being awarded BSP funding.
As a result of the 2023 interest-free funding from PrairiesCan, Vintri will accelerate its hiring, sales, and product development strategies.
“It is an honour to be selected for BSP program funding. We’re excited to be in a position to build on our success by strategically enhancing our data management solution and continuing to take the steps needed to reach and demonstrate its benefits to North American operators of energy infrastructure. This capital will enable us to further expand our operations and add to our client base in the U.S. while creating more jobs on our team for Albertans and Canadians in the process.”
–Brendan Boyle, President & CEO, Vintri Technologies
“Our government is making important investments in high-growth companies across the Prairies to expand and create quality jobs Canadian workers can depend on. Our funding for Vintri will enable this growing Alberta firm to extend the market reach for its innovative software solutions into more industries within the energy sector.”
–The Honourable Dan Vandal, Minister for PrairiesCan
“Calgary and Alberta are home to talented entrepreneurs and innovators, and I’m proud to see our government enabling local technology firms to scale up and strengthen their competitive edge in the global marketplace. This funding for Vintri will lead to an important expansion of Vintri’s operations, resulting in jobs for our community and continued momentum for our city’s technology sector.”
–George Chahal, Member of Parliament for Calgary Skyview
This latest funding builds on PrairiesCan’s previous investment of $861,250 for Vintri to develop and execute a hiring strategy, a product development roadmap, and a market expansion plan – bringing the total PrairiesCan investment to $2,219,510.
