Holiday Candied Pecans
Welcome to the delightful world of holiday indulgence!
This year, we’re sharing a special treat straight from the kitchen of Vintri’s very own Ashlee Zhao. Her Holiday Candied Pecans recipe is the perfect combination of sweet and salty, with a satisfying crunch in every bite.
Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful homemade gift or a festive addition to your holiday table, these candied pecans are a versatile delight. Sprinkle them over salads, serve them to guests, or enjoy them as a cozy snack by the fire. Let’s make the season a little sweeter—one pecan at a time!
Serves 6-8, Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
Pecan halves – You’ll need about 3 cups pecan halves; may substitute whole pecans or pecan pieces.
Maple syrup – Be sure to use pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup. May substitute brown sugar.
Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, but you can add more if you’d like.
Ground ginger
Ground cloves
Ground nutmeg
Fine kosher salt
Directions
Preheat the oven: Also, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Season the pecans: Place the pecan halves in a large bowl and toss them with the maple syrup. Add the spices and toss again to coat the nuts in the spice mixture.
Bake the nuts: Spread the pecans in a single layer over the baking sheet, and transfer to a preheated oven. Bake until the pecans are toasted and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
Cool and separate: Set the sheet pan out at room temperature and allow the pecans to cool. Break apart any pieces as needed and transfer the roasted pecans to an airtight container.
We hope you enjoy this tasty holiday treat!
From all of us at Vintri to all of you: Happy Holidays!
